Christabel Mitchell's work focuses on popular culture, such as iconic imagery, celebrity and consumerism.

Mitchell also looks at the culture of reproduction and parodies her own work by reproducing her paintings into kitsch ornamental objects.

My design is inspired by my trips to Skipton during the Summer. I include iconic objects in Skipton such as eating fish 'n' chips or ice-cream - seeing the canal, swans and narrow boats which remind me of the fun times!

I use the Yorkshire Rose, bunting, the English Flag and Union Jack along with the Skipton Coat of Arms which brings pride and the heritage of Skipton to this piece of art.
