Helen Russell trained in three dimentional design, but discovered a love of promoting other artists' work and so swapped paintbrush and day for marketing.
A growing creative itch has led to a desire to combine her own creative activity with time spent supporting others - this is the start of a new balancing act!
helen's work is often inspired by the way man-made components impact on, or interact with the natural world, but she also enjoys designing for children.
Skipton has always struck me as a joyful, bustling and vibrant town, where industry, commerce and natural resource combine to embrace history, but also welcome change.
My design takes inspiration from this and from the work of Hundertwasser, an Austrian artist and architecht who placed human welfare, ecology and dignity of life at the centre of his work.
His concerns that straight lines created sickness of body and mind, would be absent amongst Skipton's wonderful undulating landscape and higgledy-piggledy architechture!
